Liebie's Random Ramblings

Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined. — Patrick Henry

Nancy-isms

It’s been a while since I’ve picked on her.  So here I go!!!!!!

“They make so much of these issues, because this president is such a great president,”

“He’s a visionary—you’ve heard me say this so many times,”

“I have a lot of allegiances to many of those schools. I don’t even want anybody to lose. I’m just rooting for everybody, especially the players. I want them all to succeed, whatever team they’re on. I’m crazy — I’m March Mad,”

“You got to pass the bill, to find out what’s in the bill.”

“Every week we don’t pass the stimulus; we lose 500 million jobs.”

“We have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market profits taxes could go a long ways to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as “Americans.”

“Unemployment benefits are creating jobs faster than practically any other program”

Toilet Paper Shortage??

Yes it’s true.  There is a toilet paper shortage in Venezuela.  This is in addition to other staples taken for granted here.  How does a country that’s rich from oil have trouble getting TP?  I think it’s called Socialism.  After reading the attached article I don’t think anyone would want to put up with that crap (pun intended).

While on the topic of TP, have you thought of what to do if SHTF?  I have a stack of phone books about 2 feet high.  They can be used for starting fires, toilet paper, propping things up, mulch, use the pages as paper towels for cleaning up spills, possibly as insulation in some circumstances.  For some other creative uses for old phone books go here.

She Tells It How It Should Be

Bravo to this lady.  She is absolutely right about the fact that those who govern us should not make decisions based on how they feel, but on what will follow the Constitution.  This was in New Jersey regarding a 2A hearing.

Married Life

A young man married a beautiful woman who had previously divorced 10 husbands.
On their wedding night, she told her new husband to ‘Please be gentle; I’m still a virgin’.

‘What?’ said the puzzled groom.

‘How can that be possible if you’ve been married ten times.?’

‘Well, husband#1 was a Sales Representative; he just kept telling me how great it was going to be.

Husband #2 was in Software Services; he was never really sure how it was supposed to function; but he said he’d look into it and get back with me..
Husband #3 was from Field Services; he said that everything checked out diagnostically but he just couldn’t get the system up.

Husband #4 was in Telemarketing; even though he knew he had the order, he didn’t know when he would be able to deliver.

Husband #5 was an Engineer, he understood the basic process but he wanted three years to research, implement, and design a new state of the-art method.

Husband #6 was from Administration; he thought he knew how but he wasn’t sure whether it was his job or not.
Husband #7 was in Marketing; although he had a product, he was never sure how to position it.

Husband #8 was a Psychiatrist; all he did was talk about it.

Husband # 9 was a Gynecologist; all he did was look at it. .

Husband #10 was a Stamp Collector; all he ever did was …
God I miss him.

‘But now that I’ve married you, I’m so excited’.
‘Wonderful’, said the husband, ‘but why?
To which she replied,
‘You’re with the ‘GOVERNMENT‘ . ..
This time I KNOW I’M gonna get SCREWED.

DAMNIT!!!

I should have shut down the laptop, taken my shower and gone to bed after my last post.  NO – instead I find this CRAP!!!  It’s good thing his name isn’t Pinocchio.  He could’t hold up his head his nose would be so long!  The nerve of this guy!  There are no scandals.  What the hell would you call all this stuff??  I think he will be one of the first to see the underside of the bus.

NOW I’m done.

Just Pondering

I’ve been looking for something to write about, video to post (that doesn’t involve cats), anything.  Right now there is just so much crap going on I have no idea what to write about.  I see no point in regurgitating what others are already writing about.  Economically we are screwed.  Politically we are fucked.  We all know this.  It’s nice to see the media turning on the big “O”.  I guess snooping on them was the wrong thing to do.  I don’t think they will be protecting his ass for a little while.  I’m sure he will find a way to woo them back to his side.  Full Obamacare implementation is right around the corner.  More and more officials are saying that it won’t work as promised.  I was actually surprised that the Supreme Court upheld it.  And let’s not forget Benghazi, IRS, “gun control”, fast & furious.

When an administration is pushed into a corner like this what will they do?  I would say that all of this does not bode well for them.  Will we wake up one day to find out we have no president?  He did mention something about giving up and going home.  Are they gonna throw each other under the proverbial bus until the people are somewhat satisfied?  Or will there be another planned “distraction”?   They have been practicing – Sandy Hook, Boston.  Will those of us who won’t shut up and do what we are told just vanish?  Only time will tell.  Until then, be ready for anything.

Good night.

Sad Cat Diary

With all the crap going on, I thought we could all use a little humor.  This is very funny.

Backyard Chickens

We have chickens.  Raised from babies, fed them, fixed up some wounds (tape doesn’t stick to feathers!).

They really aren’t that hard to take care of.  A good coop, healthy food and water.  They have a fenced area but have eaten all the grass.  Once in a while we let them out in the yard to get some greens.  We give them scraps from the kitchen – left over veggies from dinner, peelings from cucumbers, carrots, potatoes.  They really love grape tomatoes.  We’ve actually spoiled them.

Here’s a video of our girls.  Please forgive the cheesy narrative by me.

Miracles Happen – Welcome Home Girls!!

Here is a great news story out of Cleveland, Ohio.

In 2003 Amanda Berry (16) and in 2004 Gina DeJesus (14) were abducted without a trace.  No witnesses, no leads, no bodies.  I remember the news coverage on these cases.  The disappearances were covered for a long time.  They were found alive today along with another girl, Michelle Knight.

I hope that they are ok and will do well when they get to go back to their families.  I can’t imagine what they have been through.

I also hope that the media takes it easy on them, gives them space and time to readjust to life as it should be for them.
